A simple compliment became something we chose to build together.
Hampton & Harbour began with my mom’s search for a moisturizer that actually made a difference, an unexpected compliment, and an idea we decided to pursue as mother and son.
HOW IT BEGAN
From one jar to a shared idea
For years, my mom tried nearly every product on the market in pursuit of her recapturing the youthful-looking skin she remembered. She tried drugstore brands, high-end moisturizers, retinol, and even hyaluronic acid. Many products promised to be the answer to her skin concerns, but none delivered the results she was looking for.
Then she came across whipped tallow. She was intrigued by the clean ingredients and thought it was worth a try.
It was unlike anything she had used before. She loved the rich moisture, the way it absorbed, and how her skin felt and looked after using it. Before long, it had earned a permanent place in her daily routine.
She received a huge compliment at one of my hockey games, where another mom approached her and asked what she had been doing differently because her skin looked radiant. Soon there after, similar comments and compliments followed. At the mall. Over dinner. While visiting friends.
Then one evening, she ran into a close friend who owns a popular medi spa. Her friend stopped her and said:
“What are you doing to your skin? Have you been cheating on me? Your skin looks absolutely amazing.”
My mom had not visited the spa in quite some time. That conversation stayed with her. That particular conversation became the catalyst for Hampton & Harbour.
She began wondering how many other women had spent years searching for a moisturizer that genuinely made a difference.
She brought the idea to me, and we started learning together. We began researching, learning, and sourcing the highest quality ingredients on the market. Thus, a simple compliment turned into more than just a premium skincare brand.
Hampton & Harbour is now something we are proud to share together.
BEHIND THE NAME
Two places brought together
My mom spent her summers in the Hamptons, while I have spent my summers in New Jersey overlooking Princeton Harbor. Hampton & Harbour brings those two places together, just as building this company has brought our experiences and ideas together.
This is more than a skincare brand to us. It is something we are building as a family, one thoughtful decision at a time.
